joke

A bus stops and 2 Italian men get on. They sit down and engage in an animated conversation.

The lady sitting next to them ignores them at first. But her attention is galvanzied when she hears one of them say the following:

"Emma comes first. Den I come. Den two asses come together. I come once-a-more! Two asses, they come together, again. I come again and pee twice. Den I come one lasta time."

The lady can't take this anymore, " You foul-mouthed sex-assessed pig!" She retorted indignately "In this country, we don't speak aloud about our sex lives!"

" Hey, coola down lady" said the man, "Whooza talkin' about sex? I'm a just tellin' my frienda how to spell " Mississippi" "

I'm allright

So - in March I flew up to Bodø to see my grandma. She was very ill, but still I spent time with her, talking, laughing a bit, making fun of my mom...
I told her I love her, she told me the same, and it was good being with her for a few hours per day the 5 days I was there...

Bodø city from the air..

View from my parents kitchen window - temperature changing fast...

I came home happy and sad at the same time, realising this had been the last time I saw my beloved grandma...

2 months later I was back in the north, for her funeral. And it was sad, but also a relief... And it was wonderful meeting family members I haven't seen for 20-30 years..

Back home again in Denmark - now looking forward to summer holiday in July where I will go north again, this time with hubs and kids.

See the cat with an eye on the mouse....

goodbye grandma

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone
prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone
silence the piano and muffle the drum
bring out the coffin let the mourners come

let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
scribbling in the sky the message She is dead
put crêpe bows round the white necks of the public doves
let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves

She was my north my south my east my west
my working week and my sunday rest
my noon my midnight my talk my song
I thought love would last forever, I was wrong

The stars are not wanted now; put out everyone
pack up the moon and dismantle the sun
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood
for nothing now can ever come to any good..

my beloved grandma is gone..

heading north again soon, this time for the funeral...

going home

I am going home to the far north of Norway for a couple of days, just me, leaving hubs and kids behind..

I'll be coming in by plane...

Green dot marks the spot... of the city of Bodø where I was born - North of the polar circle
the scenary is stunning

appr 50000 inhabitants

the weather varies, a lot...

The sea eagle is the landmark of Bodø - you see them all the time in their majestic appearance

I am going to visit my parents
but will also be seeing my wonderful grandmother... she is very ill and in a lot of pain and agony. When I was a child we had a very close relationship, my grandmother and I, and I am so sorry she has to endure such a rough old age... she most certainly never deserved that!
We have done so many things together - skiing, fishing, hiking, visiting family far away and driving there by car together. Spending weekends and holidays with her was similar to warmth, safety, enjoyment, laughs, special treats, relaxing, long talks, fun times...
I love her. She was only 37 when she became my grandmother. And 61 when I made her a great grand mother. I can't imagine life without her.. But I guess I'll have to face the fact that I just might have to...

Om at leve i nuet

- livsfilosofisk gruk -

At leve i nuet er livets teknik
og alle folk gør deres bedste
men halvdelen vælger det nu, som gik
og halvdelen vælger det næste

Og det forrige nu og det kommende nu
bliver aldrig i livet præsente
og alle folks levetid går sågu
med bare at mindes og vente

For det nu, som er gået, er altid forbi
og det næste bliver aldrig det rette
Næ, sørg for, at nuet, du lever i
éngang for altid er det rette

Piet Hein

freely translated:

Live in the moment
-philosophy of life -

To live in the moment is the technique of living
and everyone tries their best
but half of us chooses the moment that passed
and half of us chooses the next

The past moment and the future moment
will never be the present
and everyone's lifetime passes
while remembering and waiting

the moment that has passed is forever gone
and the next will never be right
No, make sure the moment you live
is forever for you the one

-Piet Hein
