summer fun

out on the terrace - love it when someone leaves me a pillow... no matter how small it is...
can you possibly ignore me ?

walkies with my li'l sis - at the very south part of Funen, DK

this way or the other - I do what she tells me. unless a ¤&#" cat comes along, or another dog...

lotsa room in the car - so I can spread my wonderful hair all over...

Maya - oneandahalfyear old gorgeous girl - came to visit. She kept calling me a tiger...

but kinda used me as a horse...

a little charmer - in the middle of everyones attention... ( I get just a little bit jealous...)

and she could fit the shoes we got her - to mom's absolute thrill ( what the big deal was about beats me..)

and here's the shack in our back yard as of today - remember last autumn we started the building ? well, all good things come to those who wait, and who knows, maybe 2010 will be the year for removing all the tools ( and crap) from the house into the shack ... :o)

happy birthday BFF!

Once upon a time, it was in August 1984, there was a girl and her very first day in a new school. In a new town. In a new country.
Well, the town and the country she knew, but she had spent the last 3 years abroad. Being a teenager - 3 years is almost a lifetime.. She was now sixteen, and standing there in the school yard, by herself, looking at the other kids, she noticed the way she was different. Her clothes, shoes, hair etc. The other kids seemed all to know someone, talking, laughing, yelling, smoking cigarettes… She could hear words like party, drinking etc… And she felt even more unsure of herself…

Then all of a sudden, across the yard, she met another set of eyes. Belonging to a girl with blond hair filled with happy fluffy curls. She came over and they started talking. And talking. And talking. And laughing. And talking some more.

They were actually very different personalities, one being a girly-girl, the other a bit of a tomboy, one being a sceptical fearful kind, the other more open minded and secure, choosing very different kind of sport activities
( under water rugby/ rythm gymnastics!). But still, they clicked and grew into one anothers soul mates. The 3 years in school together – hardly ever apart. The days were filled with so much giggling laughter, so much fun times, lots of long walks in the forest/on the beach with the dogs, hikes to the cabin, countless numbers of movie trips, long hours of just talking, sharing thoughts and dreams – the best times were the ones shared.

Today it’s one of the girls’ birthday. She is spending it with her family in a summer holiday paradise.

The other girl is sending her all her best wishes and thoughts and greetings!!

HIP HIP HOORAY!

Looking so much forward ’till the next time they’ll meet up!
